a gods-given mission to build and create
sent from beyond to hew meaning from stone
we landed on earth in the long time before

before humans crawled from the womb
we dug out the pits of the loom
before humans took their first steps
we planted the seeds of the fruit

toil
blood
myth
stone

comparison, desire and cynicism
has poisoned the well of serenity
look no further than the nose
or leave behind humanity

toil for blood
blood for myth
myth as stone
stone as toil

we came to build the pyramids
a sacrifice of blood to stone
the seeds of mythos put in place
the meteors came to call us home

I leave you with warning from past to present occupants
